What is Radical Resilience?
Radical Resilience is a twice-weekly community gathering created to foster healing, connection, and creative expression for individuals navigating homelessness and housing insecurity. This program centers the voices and stories of our guests through art, conversation, and care.
Each session includes:
Guest speakers with lived experience or insight
Hands-on activities like journaling, painting, zine-making, and more
Open discussion and storytelling in a supportive space
Radical Resilience isn’t just about surviving—it’s about reclaiming identity, joy, and voice in the face of adversity.
Radical Resilience is open to all guests of Safe Space. Come as you are—no experience necessary. Whether you want to share your story, create something meaningful, or just be in community, there’s a place for you here.Let’s build something beautiful, together.
Why Creativity Matters
For people experiencing homelessness, survival often leaves little room for self-expression. But art can be a powerful force for healing and empowerment. Whether it’s through poetry, drawing, or music, creative outlets offer:
Emotional release and a way to process trauma
Connection with others through shared experiences
Restoration of dignity, identity, and agency
Opportunities for reflection and goal setting
Creativity builds confidence. It invites hope. And in spaces like Safe Space, it becomes a bridge to community.
