Safe Space Chico needs Shelter Morning Volunteers!

Winter Shelter

Safe Space Chico provides a warm place to sleep and eat during the coldest winter months. Click each carrot below to learn how you can serve the community this winter shelter.

  • Provide support by labeling and storing guest property for the night. Organize and store guest property. These shifts may include heavy lifting for those who are able.

  • Every morning and night we need volunteers to help organize donations and distribute supplies, prepare and distribute food and drink to guests, and clean the shelter as needed.

  • Every Sunday blankets, sheets, and pillows are washed at a local laundromat.

    Help breakdown the shelter at the current hosting church, transport and set-up shelter at the new hosting church. This shift includes lifting tables and boxes. Vehicles are not required to volunteer for this shift.
