Shelter Operations Managers (ShOp)
Our Shelter Operations Managers—known as the ShOp team—are the driving force behind Safe Space’s Winter Shelter and Cooling Center seasons. They coordinate intake, transportation, and storage each night, ensuring that guests and their belongings are safely transported to our rotating shelter sites. Each season, we partner with local churches and organizations on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, and the ShOp team manages the complex logistics of these rotating locations.
But they do more than manage logistics—they bring compassion, consistency, and calm to every shift. From greeting guests to troubleshooting last-minute changes, the ShOp team keeps our shelter running smoothly and with dignity.
